Female Hairdressers Sensitized about Opportunities in Solar Energy in Yaoundé.

On August 2, 2024, SolarDjangui organized a training session in a hair salon located in the Messassi neighborhood of Yaoundé, bringing together 10 women hairdressers under the leadership of Ms. MBAYE. The training highlighted the opportunities provided by renewable energy, particularly solar energy, to enhance the lives of women in their professional daily lives.
The SolarDjangui team raised awareness among the participants about the importance of replacing polluting energy solutions with sustainable alternatives. Through rich and informative exchanges, the hairdressers explored the economic and environmental benefits of solar energy.

The next steps of the program will include more in-depth training on green entrepreneurship, further empowering women to become agents of change within their communities.Additionally, SolarDjangui plans to offer solar kits at subsidized prices to help these women overcome energy access challenges in their localities. This initiative aims not only to enhance their financial independence but also to foster a deeper understanding of the urgency of ecological transition and sustainable development.
