SolarDjangui Joins Forces with AMCODE to Support Women’s Empowerment with CECOSDA Cameroon
Empowerment, Support, and Training for Women : A Commitment at the Heart of the Partnership!
On Sunday, September 1, 2024, the SolarDjangui team traveled to Dschang to formalize a strategic partnership with the Actions for Community Mobilization and Development (AMCODE). The primary goal of this partnership is to promote the financial independence of women in the Menoua region. By leveraging the SolarDjangui project, supported by the Centre for Communication and Sustainable Development for All (CECOSDA), this collaboration aims to create sustainable economic opportunities while enhancing women's participation in their communities.
Beyond the simple sale of solar lamps, SolarDjangui and AMCODE are committed to supporting women through broader initiatives, such as land acquisition and securing birth certificates. These concrete actions aim to remove the barriers that hinder their economic and social development. As part of this effort, 15 women underwent intensive training in green entrepreneurship and financial management. The goal is to strengthen their skills and prepare them to become key actors in sustainable development in the region.
By engaging in these initiatives, the partnership seeks to build a new generation of empowered women, capable of transforming their daily lives while contributing to a more ecological and inclusive development model.
